1. Cycle the art routes

Every year during the Art Summer, you can cycle various routes along Texel artists. With these routes along galleries, exhibitions, museums, studios and artists, Texel CultuurEiland highlights the cultural life on the island. This Whitsun weekend, choose Route Hoge Berg and Oudeschild on Saturday or Route Oosterend, Oost, Eierland and the North on Sunday.

2. Visit the Special Beer Festival

The Wezentuin, Den Burg's park, will host the Special Beer Festival 'Heino's Biergarten'. There are several taps with more than 20 kinds of special beers! A DJ and live band will provide music. Times 6 to 8 June 2025: Friday 16.00 - 22.00, Saturday and Sunday 13.00 - 22.00. Admission is free.

Update: due to the weather forecast, the festival has been moved indoors. Café De Slock will be converted into Heino's Bierstube.

3. Listen to live music in the garden

Come and listen to live music at Restaurant Floris while enjoying a bite to eat and a drink. During the Whitsun weekend, you will hear singer-songwriters Lion and the Rose. The performance is part of “Music in the Garden”, which takes place every Sunday until September. The performances always start at 3pm. Entrance is free.

4. Go to the market

During the Whitsun weekend you can go to several markets on the island. On Friday is the Harbour Market in Oudeschild, on Saturday is the Durpermarkt in De Cocksdorp, on Sunday the Sunday Market in De Koog and on Monday the Car boot market in De Koog.
