Your holiday on Texel already starts on the ferry! Get a breath of fresh air at the railing, feed seagulls and enjoy the view of Texel, isn't it wonderful? The comfortable ferries of the TESO boat service are perfect for relaxing indoors or outdoors and getting into a holiday atmosphere.

Departure times

Every day the ferry departs from Den Helder on the half hour from 6.30 a.m. (except on Sundays) until 9.30 p.m. On Sundays from April 1 to October 1, the first departure is at 7.30 a.m., the rest of the year at 8.30 a.m.

From Texel, the boat leaves daily on the hour to Den Helder. The first boat leaves at 6.00 a.m (except Sundays), the last at 9.00 p.m. On Sundays from April 1 to October 1, the first departure is at 7.00 a.m, the rest of the year at 8.00 a.m.

Attention!

The last boat to Texel always leaves at 9.30 p.m. The last boat from Texel to Den Helder always leaves at 9.00 p.m.

As a pedestrian on the boat

Do you want to leave the car in Den Helder? There is a free parking lot next to the ferry port, with a limited number of spaces. You may therefore have to park in the vicinity of the ferry port. Pedestrians can also buy a ticket in advance via the internet or on the spot. Did you know that you only pay € 2.50 if you are on foot? That makes it even more fun to go to Texel!

Taking the bike

You can also bring your (electric) bicycle to Texel. There is a separate bicycle deck on board where the bicycles are stored during the crossing.

Arriving on Texel

Welcome to Texel! You can now rent a bike in the terminal, take a taxi or travel by public transport to your destination. The Texelhopper provides bus transport on the island. Do you already know where you want to go? Then take the regular bus or book a seat in one of the small Texelhopper buses in advance.
