De Hoge Berg is the oldest part of Texel. Characteristic of this area are its garden walls, sheep pens and slight slope. You will find the Hoge Berg between Den Burg and Oudeschild. In 2019, this area was declared the Icon Landscape of the Netherlands. And you can see why!

We have mapped out a 6.5-kilometre walking route for you to enjoy the landscape to the full. Dogs are welcome on this route (on a lead).
