To coincide with the travelling Zilveren Camera exhibition at the Burghtkerk in Den Burg, we are organising this photo competition in collaboration with Texel CultuurEiland, with the theme ‘This is Texel’.

Use your photo to show what makes Texel unique: nature, island life, an activity, a local product or a special moment.

Send us your best ‘This is Texel’ photo and be in with a chance to win a prize package of products by photographer Justin Sinner. The package consists of:

• Texel calendar 2027
• Texel card game
• Set of Texel fridge magnets
• 1,000-piece Texel jigsaw puzzle
• The winning photo will be on display during the exhibition from 5 September to 25 October.

‘This is Texel’ jury

All entries will be carefully reviewed and judged by a three-member jury. The jury consists of:

The De Zilveren Camera Foundation is the Dutch award for photojournalism and documentary photography and has been presented since 1949.

About Justin Sinner

Justin Sinner is a Texel-based photographer specialising in nature, landscape, interior, architectural and urban photography. He developed a love for photography amidst the island’s beautiful nature and unique light. With a strong affinity for nature, he spends a lot of time on the beach and in the dunes. The ever-changing skies, sea and landscapes continue to inspire him. As well as capturing Texel, he enjoys travelling around the Netherlands, searching for forests, unusual landscapes and urban architecture. Discovering and capturing new environments fuels his creative spirit.
